GREENVILLE, SC, January 17, 2005—The heritage of 828
International’s latest rug collection can be found in its
name: Varashawar. The word is a marriage of two
worlds—Varansi, the sacred city of India and Peshawar, a
trade city at the foot of the Khyber Pass in Pakistan.
828 International brings the
best of these cultures together in a unique collection of Peshawar
quality rugs that are hand-tufted in India. This combination
results in a collection of exceptional quality and style at prices
that are extremely affordable. The fiber used is a blended handspun
Gazni wool that is twisted to give the rugs a thicker hand and
heavier texture. Oushak and Zigler patterns are included in this
fully programmed collection with sizes ranging from runners to
oversize.
Suggested retail is $399 for a 5' x 8.'
828 International will
showcase Varashawar, along with its entire line of
hand-knotted, hand-tufted, hand-hooked and powerloomed rugs, at the
Atlanta Rug Market from January 17-23 in the Merchandise Mart space
6-F-1 & 3 and at Surfaces in Las
Vegas from January 26-28, booth #6410.
